How is my gift used?
The Annual Fund helps fund many essentials outside the school’s operating budget, including professional development, curriculum enhancement, art supplies, new technology, athletic programs, performing arts, clubs activities, financial aid, and more.
Doesn't tuition cover these expenses?
While tuition revenue does provide 90 percent of the school’s operating budget, The Oaks relies upon annual fund giving, capital gifts, and other non-tuition revenue to enhance the school’s resources and help ensure that our students have exceptional opportunities in the areas of academics, athletics, and the arts.
If I can only contribute a small gift, will it make an impact?
Yes, it certainly does! Your gift, combined with those from alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends, provides substantial support for the ongoing needs of the school. Every gift is an expression of support for The Oaks and every gift matters!
Why does my participation matter?
Participation matters because many foundations only fund schools that demonstrate wide support by their own alumni and parents. Participation level is also a factor in a school’s bond rating. Your gift is a show of your commitment to the school and a sign of the school’s strength.
Does the Annual Fund campaign have a start and stop date?
The Annual Fund will begin in October of the school year and close on the following June 30.
If I make a pledge now, when do I have to pay?
You have until June 30 to fulfill your pledge. It is helpful to The Oaks if you make your commitment early in the fiscal year, even if you don’t pay until later.
