1st Day of School – Mon., Sept. 20 *formal uniforms
Classes Start at 8:30am - No Cantabile
It's almost that time of year, when the halls are filled with students once again. We have missed you and look forward to seeing everyone in their formal uniforms for the 1st day of school on Monday, September 20. There will be no Cantabile on the first day of school.
Fall Play Auditions - The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
Tues. & Wed., Sept. 21 & 22 (K-12th); Mon., Sept. 20 (7th only)
This fall, Oaks students will be performing an exciting production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Performances will be Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4. Auditions take place Tuesday and Wednesday, September 21 and 22 from 3:15 to 4:45pm in MP#11 (music room). *7th graders will audition on Monday, September 20 from 3:15 to 4:15pm. Audition packets are available at the Theatre Board in the MP building or you may contact Oaks Theatre Director, Mrs. Teri Woodroof, to request a digital packet.
Oaks Family Night – Fri., Sept. 24 – Oaks vs NICS
Bring the whole family to cheer on our Oaks soccer and volleyball teams as they take on North Idaho Christian School on Friday, September 24. For $5 per person (family maximum - $20) you will receive dinner and admission to all the games. Wear your Oaks gear and get ready to cheer! If you would like to help with set-up, cooking, serving, and/or clean-up please contact The Oaks Events Coordinator, Jenna Trotter. Let's fill the gym and field with Oaks fans and root on our teams. GO OAKS!!!
Dinner will be served from 4:30–6:30pm

Welcome Back to School Assembly – Mon., Sept. 27

This year's All School Assembly will be the 2nd week of school, on Monday, September 27. This will allow time on the first day of school for set up and orientation in the classrooms. All parents are welcome to join the entire school body in the sanctuary on Monday, September 27 for this Welcome Back to School Assembly. Students will wear their formal uniforms this day.
Fall Play Parent Meeting – Mon., Sept. 27 at 4:45pm
All parents who have children participating in this year's fall play should plan to attend a meeting with Theatre Director, Mrs. Teri Woodroof, in the school gym on Monday, September 27 at 4:45pm.
Formal Uniform Mondays
New this year, each Monday will be a formal uniform day. Students will begin the week looking sharp in their formal uniforms. What a beautiful sight at Cantabile each week!
The Oaks New Address
The Oaks officially has a new address! The school property (the field behind the MP building) now has an address for our future building and mail is being delivered directly to the school office. If you are mailing anything to the school please use this new address.

Fall Conservatory Registration
The Oaks Conservatory program has lots of private lessons and classes lined up for the fall. Registration is open through the Conservatory website, so head on over to check out the offerings and get registered. Private lessons will begin with the first week of School.
*Due to website/email issues, registrations completed between September 2nd and 6th may not have been received. If you did not receive confirmation, please re-submit your registration and we will confirm it as soon as possible. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We are looking forward to your child participating in the Conservatory program this year!
Uniform Information & Updates
- FIRST DAY FORMAL UNIFORM - ADJUSTED EXPECTATIONS
We are aware that several of the formal uniform pieces are currently back ordered. In light of this, formal uniform expectations on the first day of school for those families waiting for an item are being made. We ask that if you are waiting on an item, to please follow the formal uniform requirements as closely as possible, supplementing with last year's formal pieces as needed. New families may contact Mrs. Laurie Gardner in the office for help acquiring items. We look forward to working with you!

Embroidered formal uniform vests are available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis in the school office. Available sizes range from Youth XS through Adult M. Youth vests are $37.03 (tax included) and adult vests are $40.29 (tax included). Payments may be made at the time of purchase by cash or check (in the school office) or credit card (via Jupiter). - LANDS' END LOW STOCK & BACK ORDERS
We are aware that several formal uniform pieces through Lands' End are currently low in stock or back ordered. Unfortunately, these delays are an issue worldwide right now. Lands' End is working hard to prioritize items which are a part of our uniform selection (Further details from Lands' End). All items will continue to be re-stocked and you are encouraged to purchase items needed for your child, even if it is temporarily on backorder, so that it can be sent to you as soon as possible. Logic & Rhetoric Schools
First Day - Activity Schedule - Mon., Sept. 20
The Logic & Rhetoric school will be following an activity schedule (see the posted schedules) on Monday morning. The 1st period will be an orientation for students and then all students will proceed through their classes as normal according to the modified schedule. See below to know where your child will begin their day on Monday.

- 8th Grade – MP #9 (Miss Lucy Nolan)

Logic & Rhetoric School Open House – Parent Letters
Any parents unable to attend the Logic & Rhetoric School Open House on Thursday, September 16 should connect with their child's teachers to receive the parent letter that was prepared for you. There is also a folder of informational items pertinent to the upcoming school year in the school office for you.
Locker Set-up – Mon., Sept. 20 - Doors open at 7:30am
The school doors will open at 7:30am for any secondary students who would like to set up their lockers prior to the start of the day.
Mock Trial - 9th–12th Grades
The Oaks is excited to launch a Mock Trial team this Fall. In past years, competitive debate has helped to form our students as thinkers and speakers, and as we transition to Mock Trial, we look forward to even more fun and formative opportunities for our 9th–12th graders. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks from Mr. Scott Welch and Miss Emily Woodroof, your Mock Trial coaches.
Formal Bow Tie Option
Gentlemen in 7th–12th grades who would like to wear a bow tie as an option with the formal uniform will be able to purchase the new formal bow tie in the school office for $30 (tax included). These will be available within the week, so please feel free to call or stop by to see if they have arrived.
