2024-25 Open Enrollment Begins March 1

Open enrollment for new students (1st–12th grades) officially begins March 1st. Know an interested family? Send them a link to The Oaks Admissions Interest Form to set up a tour or ask questions. Please feel free to contact The Oaks Admissions Officer, Anya Schnell, with any admissions questions.

New Conservatory Class - Calligraphy
*Beginning Mar. 4

The Oaks Conservatory is excited to announce a new Calligraphy class, open to 5th grade through adult, beginning March 4 and taught by Mr. Spencer Ansett. For further information about this class and to register please visit the Conservatory website.

Continuous Enrollment - 2024–25 School Year
*Enrollment Fee Automatic Payment Drafted - Mar. 5

The 2024-25 enrollment season is in full swing. Current kindergarten through 11th grade students have been automatically enrolled for the upcoming school year. The $325 Enrollment Fee (per student) will be automatically drafted on Tuesday, March 5.

Please read the Continuous Enrollment Letter and Information for complete details regarding 2024-25 enrollment. This information was also sent home in your child's backpack.

Mother & Daughter Tea - Sat., Mar. 9 [8:30–10:30am]

All Oaks grandmothers, mothers, and daughters are invited to attend The Oaks' annual Mother & Daughter Tea on Saturday, March 9 from 8:30 to 10:30am in the Great Hall. Mid-term Grades Available on Jupiter Wed., Mar. 6

Mid-term grades will be up to date and available to view on Jupiter Wednesday, March 6. Grades may be viewed on the first screen ("To-Do") in Jupiter. Click on the individual class/subject to see details of those grades.

Lost & Found  – Thurs., Mar. 7
*Please label everything! We want to reunite you with your missing items.

Lost & found items will be set out in the MP foyer on Thursday. Please stop by to see if anything belongs to your family. All unclaimed items, except uniforms, will be donated at the end of the day. Thank you to all who come by the office to find missing belongings prior to them being placed out. We appreciate your help in keeping the lost & found pile low. We want to return your items to you and labels are a great help in this endeavor.

Reminder: No Oaks Athletic Sweatshirts After Break

On non-formal uniform days this fall/winter Oaks students have had the opportunity to wear their Athletic & Mock Trial Oaks hoodies and crewnecks during the school day. As a reminder, upon returning from mid-winter break, as we head into spring, these Oaks sweatshirts are no longer acceptable uniform items during the school day. Please note, that the Lands' End crewneck sweatshirt is an acceptable uniform item throughout the school year.

Fiddler on the Roof – Theatre News

Rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof officially began Monday, February 26. For the complete rehearsal schedule please subscribe to The Oaks Theatre's Google calendar, available on The Oaks Theatre page of the website (*this page will be updated throughout the rehearsal season with details for the cast and crew.) Please contact Mrs. Teri Woodroof or Mrs. Amy Kim with any questions.

Fiddler on the Roof will be performed May 16–18 and 23–25 in the Great Hall.

Silverwood Theme Park is once again offering Oaks students the opportunity to participate in their Read 2 Ride program and earn a ticket for free admission just by reading. The below information was sent home with your child before mid-winter break.

Speech Meet

This year's Grammar School Classroom Speech Meets will be taking place in March. Students should have their pieces memorized by Tuesday, March 12. The qualifying students will then present their speeches to the entire Grammar School at the Speech Meet Assembly.

High school students (grades 9–12) from ACCS schools are invited to compete with their peers from other ACCS schools in a national visual arts competition. This competition has four categories–drawing, painting, apparel, and stationery–in which students may enter. For details please visit the ACCS Blakey Prize in Fine Arts Competition website and contact Mr. Trotter if you are interested in submitting an entry.

Oaks students recently had an opportunity to register to take the SAT at The Oaks on Thursday, March 21 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. For those registered, the SAT Practice and Preparation page can provide helpful information on how to set up the Bluebook app on your laptop (a laptop, power cord, and the Bluebook app are required to take the test), as well as how to access a full digital SAT practice test. For those who took the PSAT last October this app is already downloaded on your device. For questions, please contact Mrs. Lynn Gibson and/or reference the SAT Flyer.

Protocol Photos Now Available on Jupiter

The Oaks' 2024 Protocol event was a lovely evening, enjoyed by all, and we are so thankful to have some beautiful photographs of the event. These photos are now available to Oaks parents via Jupiter. To view them, log into your Jupiter parent portal, select Materials, then School Office where the 2024 Protocol Winter Ball Photos link is available. Feel free to download and print any pictures you would like.
