Cross Country - A Thank You From Coach Kimball
Thank you to many of you who helped with the cross-country meet last Friday (10/1). Even though we pulled out of the parochial league this year, we honored our commitment to host this race for the league. And due to help from many Oaks families, our race ran smoothly. The director of the league was impressed with how well it was run and how faithfully we honored the league's guidelines for races this year. So thank you for coming together and leaving such a good reputation behind us.
Also, although there were about 8 teams at the race, The Oaks won in five of the eight age groups. It might not be all about winning, but it is fun to win. Winning was a bonus on top of an already successful event. Thank you to all those who helped make it happen.
Coach Kimball

Stop by the office to buy your Oaks scarf and then keep warm while cheering on our Oaks teams! Scarves will also be available for purchase at all events and can be paid for through your Jupiter account or with cash or check during school office hours.

Please note, your child is still responsible for collecting homework ahead of time and completing it during his absence. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.
Formal Uniform Mondays
Students are beginning the week looking sharp in their formal uniforms each Monday. What a beautiful sight at Cantabile! *We recognize that many families are still waiting on back ordered formal uniform pieces and ask that you do the best you can (see the notes in the uniform section below for further details). Our hope is that formal Mondays will be a way of further strengthening and beautifying The Oaks community and will be a blessing to all.

UNIFORM INFORMATION & UPDATES
The 2021-22 Uniform Policy & Handbook are available on the Uniform Page.
Formal Uniform - Adjusted Expectations
With uniform items currently being back ordered, formal uniform expectations are being adjusted. If you are waiting for a back ordered formal uniform item, please follow the formal uniform requirements as closely as possible, supplementing with last year's formal pieces as needed. New families may contact Mrs. Laurie Gardner in the office for help acquiring items.
Info. from Lands' End Re: Back Ordered Items
Lands' End is still experiencing many delivery delays, port congestion, country/vendor shutdowns due to COVID, and equipment/worker shortages. This is a global issue, but as a company, Lands' End is doing all that they can and working around the clock to improve timing where they can. This includes chartering their own cargo planes, renting trucks, prioritizing containers and also marking shipments high priority when they arrive at the warehouse, focusing first on shipments with backorders.
Parents are encouraged to purchase any winter uniform needs now, so that they are not further impacted by these delays. All orders in the queue get fulfilled as products become available.
