Week of Prayer for The Oaks - Oct. 18-25
We are organizing a week dedicated to prayer and thanksgiving to our God. He has provided the land for us to build a permanent home for The Oaks and we depend upon God's blessing for the future of the school. Let us be like Ezra of old, "Then I proclaimed a fast, that we might number ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions...the hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him...so we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer." Ezra 8:21, 22b, 23
Please join us in prayer and thankfulness that the hand of God will be upon us as we seek to honor Him in this good work. You will be sent a list of specific things to pray for the day before you have signed up to pray. Bring these needs before the Lord in your own prayer closet or with your family. Or during the school day, we will have an area set up to pray at The Oaks.
Please sign up with your name and email at the following link:

Scheduling Conferences
The faculty look forward to meeting with parents each conference season! Because our parent-teacher conferences have become an increasingly utilized connecting time for parents, we are encouraging parents to choose the three teachers whom they would most like to meet with and schedule a group conference with those teachers (unless an individual parent-teacher conference is all that is needed). This way, our hope is that more parents will have the opportunity to connect with some of their student's teachers (as much as possible). Of course, if you are an existing family and feel that a group conference with all of your student's teachers is necessary, we are glad to accommodate you. Thank you!
College Brown Bag Visits
College admission representatives will be visiting The Oaks and speaking to interested students, parents and teachers at lunch time throughout the fall. Please see the attached schedule for details.
