Administrators Conference - Thurs. & Fri., Nov. 7 & 8
The Oaks will be hosting 30 administrators from 15 different classical Christian schools at the annual NW ACCS Administrators Conference Thursday and Friday, November 7th and 8th. The Administrators will also be joining us for a special morning cantabile on Friday at 8am. Please help us in welcoming our guests as you see them on campus.
Friday Morning Cantabile - Fri., Nov. 8
Friday's cantabile will be in the morning, at 8am, on Friday, November 8, rather than at the end of the day as usual. We hope to see you there!
ACCS NW Regional Choral Concert - Fri., Nov. 8 (7pm)
Secondary students will be participating in the ACCS NW Regional Choral Festival with 6 other ACCS schools on Friday, November 8th. At 7:00pm all participating in the festival will be presenting a concert ($2 donation requested) in The Oaks' gym. Pieces will be performed by the Mass Choir (424 voices) accompanied by a 15-piece orchestra, the New Saint Andrews College Choir, The Oaks Choir, the Logos School Choir and the Spokane Classical Christian School Choir. We hope you will plan to join us for this lovely evening.

Fall Open House - Nov. 11 (9-11am)
Know someone interested in learning more about The Oaks and classical Christian education? This is the perfect opportunity for families to get a taste of The Oaks. We still have openings for the current year and it is never too early to begin looking for next year. Help us spread the word by inviting friends and family. Postcard invitations are available in the school office.
Parent Academy - Tues., Nov. 19 (6:30pm)

The Oaks is excited to welcome special guest speakers, Doug and Nancy Wilson, on Tuesday, November 19th for the 1st Parent Academy of the school year. All parents should plan to attend, beginning at 6:30pm, in the sanctuary. Childcare will be provided in the gym. Please RSVP to the school office so that we can plan accordingly.
The Tempest - Fall Play - Dec. 7 (2pm & 6pm)
Tickets for The Tempest are now on sale. Click on the link at the top of the page to purchase yours today! Posters are available in the school office if you would like to hang one at your place of business, favorite coffee shop, local library, or another location in the community. Help us spread the word!

The Oaks has the privilege of hosting up to 6 ACCS schools for the ACCS NW Regional Choral Festival on Friday, November 8. Those in attendance will be working with instructors throughout the day and preparing for the evening's concert. All 7th through 12th grade Oaks students will be participating, beginning at 8:00am through the evening's concert (approx. 8:30pm). Students will be fed lunch and dinner at no charge. If you would like to help with the set-up, preparing and serving of meals please sign up at the link below. For questions contact our Festival event coordinator, Karen Reade.
Last SAT of 2019 - Register by Nov. 8
Friday, November 8 is the last day to register (without paying a late fee) for the December 7 SAT test sitting. Register at www.collegeboard.org. Please take note: December 7 is the last SAT test offered until March 14, 2020. Please plan accordingly!

AP Exams - Register by Nov. 12
Tuesday, November 12 is the registration deadline for the AP exams offered in the spring. This year, The Oaks will administer the AP exams on our school campus. Please see the attached informational letter, exam schedule, and registration form. Payment and registration forms are due in the school office by November 12. Each exam is $94.
High School Classic Movie Night - Fri., Nov. 15
All High School Students and their parents are invited to The Oaks first ever Classic Movie Night. Join us for a classic movie, snacks and lively discussion led by our own, Mr. Jason Farley.
Who: 9th - 12th Grade Students and their parents
When: Friday, November 15, 6:30-8:30pm
What: High Noon (1952)
Price: $3.00 per person
Please consider The Oaks standard of dress as you and your child choose their attire for this event - clean, modest and culturally appropriate for the event and the school community. Let's seek to love one another well as we enjoy an evening together.
College Brown Bag Visits - Nov. Revisions
Students in 8th - 11th grade are invited to a unique brown bag lunch with David Olds, a 1/C Midshipmen (Senior) at the United States Naval Academy (and a Spokane native), to share with you the opportunities of attending the USNA. Please see the attached Brown Bag Schedule, revised for November.
