A Thought To Savor

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I have a real treat in store for you, on May 3rd, Mr. Kanaan Trotter is coming to speak to our Logic & Rhetoric School students. He will then also speak at the Father/Son Breakfast on May 4th. Kanaan is Mr. & Mrs. Trotter's son and I have had the privilege of getting to know him over the past couple of years. He has blessed me personally through his use of words and unique perspective. He and his wife have been going through a cancer battle over the past two and a half years. His posts on CaringBridge about this journey are powerful. Having been classically educated–kindergarten through college–he has a unique perspective and wonderful ability to communicate his thoughts. Today, Kanaan is a proud husband and father, works as the Enterprise Director for AuditBoard, and serves on the board of his local classical Christian school. Enjoy the 'letter' and look for several other 'letters' to follow.

Blessings,

Charlie Dowers
Head of School

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
