Talent Show – Friday, March 8th

Please join us for our annual Talent Show Friday, March 8th in the Sanctuary at Valley Fourth Memorial Church.  The show starts at 1:15 and runs to the end of the school day.  If we have any time left, we will sing Cantabile songs together until 2:45. This is one of our most entertaining events of the year, and we would love to have you join us. For those unable to attend, a video will be available via The Oaks Facebook page.

Open House – Tuesday, March 26th – 9-11am

Our Next Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th from 9-11am. Don’t forget to invite any families you know who would be interested in The Oaks. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of classical Christian education with those unfamiliar with our school.

You can share this event several ways: print out the Postcard Invitation (also available in the school office), and by encouraging friends to view our Facebook Event.

The Oaks Benefit Auction Results

The Oaks Benefit Auction 2019 was the highest grossing auction in school history! Thank you to everyone who donated, attended and invested in the students of The Oaks. The auction raised $84,635 NET dollars for our school!

Last Friday night, over two hundred guests arrived at the Historic Davenport Hotel ready to have fun and ready to bid. Throughout the silent auction, people enjoyed browsing, playing games, and starting bidding wars. The Mystery Wine Pull was a huge hit, spurred to success by the salesmanship of the dynamic duo, Ross Tasche and Eric Indgjerd.

A delicious dinner was served in the Pennington Ballroom, followed by the Dessert Auction. The Chocolate Hazelnut Torte from Fery's Catering took first place for the second year in a row, selling for $1,000. A highlight of the live auction included Gonzaga tickets for two games, which sold for a total of $4,500. Another highlight included the VIP tour and custom club fitting at the PING factory in Phoenix, with a seven night timeshare, which sold for $4,200. The Mica Bay Coeur d'Alene cabin, Sounders Private Suite, and Bourbon Tasting Dinners were all popular items, together bringing in $9,400.

Everyone present was blessed by the words of wisdom and encouragement from Oaks parent and basketball coach, Jeff Schlect, and by all the generous donors and volunteers who made the auction possible. The Oaks community is incredibly thankful to all the local businesses and individuals who supported our school through this event.

A special thank you to our table hosts and sponsors: Anatek Labs, Inc. & the Sattler family, Cannon Hill Dental & the Ganji family, Damon Orthodontics, Kootenai Imaging, Norlift, Inc. & the Jarvis family, Networks Rx, Sketch for Schools, Structured Communication Systems, Inc. & the Schurter family, Veritiv & the Morgan family, Bob & Kristen Bailey, Sam & Judy Palpant, Jeff & LuRae Schlect, and The Oaks Alumni.

Thank you to Shelley Moss and the rest of the auction committee for volunteering again this year.
