Parent/Teacher Conferences - Wed & Thurs

Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st. Please stop by the school office during regular office hours (7:45 am - 3:45 pm) if you still need to sign up. 

Re-enrollment Forms Due Wednesday, March 20th

Re-enrollment packets were sent home with your eldest child on March 1st. Please fill out and return your family’s form to the school office no later than Wednesday, March 20th. Families who have not re-registered by the deadline may lose their spots as we open up enrollment to new families. Electronic packets are attached below for your convenience.

Early Release Wednesday, March 20th

Students will be dismissed from class at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 20th for parent/teacher conferences in the afternoon.

No School Thursday, March 21st & Friday March 22nd

There will be no school Thursday March 21st for parent/teacher conferences or Friday, March 22nd for a staff curriculum day.

Third Quarter Mid-Terms

Mid-terms were sent home in your child's backpack on Wednesday, March 13th. Please sign one copy and return it to your child's homeroom teacher.

Open House – Tuesday, March 26th – 9-11am

Our Next Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th from 9-11am. Don’t forget to invite any families you know who would be interested in The Oaks. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of classical Christian education with those unfamiliar with our school.

You can share this event several ways: print out the Postcard Invitation (also available in the school office), and by encouraging friends to view our Facebook Event.

The Oaks 2019 Graduation Ceremony

To accommodate our growing school we are pleased to announce that this year's graduation ceremony will take place at Fourth Memorial Church (near Gonzaga University) on Saturday, June 8th at 1:00pm. We are excited that this new venue will allow us to host a larger audience and allow the graduates to host a celebration for all their friends and family together afterwards.

Advanced Placement Exams - Registration Deadline Wed. Mar. 20th

Interested high school students have the opportunity to take AP exams on May 6th and 13th at Lewis and Clark High School. Please see the information below for further details. The deadline for registration is March 20th.

The Secondary Spring Ball is being rescheduled. We will announce the date and details here as soon as possible.

Countdown to College Workshop - April 8th

Countdown to College Workshop is April 8, 7:00 to 9:00 pm in MP 8 (note the new date). Parents and students in 9th - 11th grades are invited to join Mrs. Gibson, Director of College and Career Counseling, as she provides an overview of the college preparation, search, and application process, and the services she offers families as they prepare for their child's future. Students and families: You may now view view a growing list of college scholarships on The Oaks' website. The list will be updated regularly. Please see Mrs. Gibson for specific scholarship questions. Click here to view the listing.

Boys State and Girls State Summer Leadership & Citizenship Programs

Boys State and Girls State are summer leadership and citizenship programs sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school juniors. Applications are due March 31 and interviews begin in April.

Naval Academy's Summer Seminar

Juniors interested in the United States Naval Academy are invited to apply to attend the Naval Academy's Summer Seminar. For one week in June, students will experience a taste of life at the Academy as well as kick-start your application journey for an appointment to the Academy. The application deadline for the summer program is March 31. Information may be found on their website.

Grove City College's "Junior Crimson Day"

Juniors may use a $300 voucher toward airfare and lodging to visit Grove City College during its "Junior Crimson Day," Saturday April 27. Students from The Oaks (and other Classical Schools from around the country) will enjoy a day of activities, faculty presentations, campus tours, and student panels to introduce them to this outstanding Christian college in Grove City, PA. Juniors received a voucher from Mrs. Gibson last month; more are available in her office. To register, click here.

College Application Boot Camp

Make plans and mark your calendars: For families of juniors looking ahead to senior year, College Application Boot Camp will be September 3rd through 6th from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. The registration fee is $150. Details will be forthcoming. See Mrs. Gibson for immediate questions.
