Mid-terms - Mon., Mar. 15

Mid-term grades will be available to view on Jupiter beginning Monday, March 15. Grades may be viewed on the first screen ("To Do") in Jupiter. Click on the individual class/subject to see details of those grades. Hard copies will not be sent home this year.

The Oaks Coffee Bar - Wednesday Mornings
*Opening Mar. 17 - 7:30-8:30am

On Wednesday mornings, Oaks seniors will be serving up coffee, orange juice, and breakfast treats in the foyer of the MP (gym) building. All students, parents, staff, and guests are welcome to stop by to partake in this Wonderful Wednesday morning delight. All items on sale for $1 only opening week, Wednesday, March 17! Please stop by to support the seniors and thank them for making this happen.

No School - Thurs., Mar. 18 & Fri., Mar. 19

There will be no school Thursday & Friday, March 18 & 19 for parent/teacher conferences.

Lands' End Uniform Sale - Mar. 18-23

Lands' End will be running a promotion of 30% off school uniforms soon.  Use the code "SPRING" with pin "2021" between March 18-23 to take advantage of this sale. Please visit the Land's End website for more information. To receive notifications of future sales, be sure to sign up for Lands' End newsletters. To do so, sign into The Oaks (school code: 900069105), create an account, and then select to receive notifications for School Uniforms in your email preferences. Mrs. Laurie Gardner, in the school office, will be handling uniform questions, so please feel free to contact her if you need any assistance.

Open House - Tues., March 23, 9-11am - RSVP requested

The Music Man - Rehearsal Info.

Rehearsals are now underway for The Oaks' production of The Music Man, opening May 7. If your family is involved in the play, please reference The Oaks Theatre page under the "Parent" tab to check for rehearsal schedules, practice videos, and more. You can even subscribe to the rehearsal schedule.

K-12th Enrollment Open!

Registration for the 2021-22 school year is now open for new families. Space is currently available in kindergarten for next year, as well as many of our 1st-12th grade classes. Please spread the word and encourage friends and family to learn more about The Oaks and classical Christian education. Grammar school parent/teacher conferences will be held Thursday, March 18 and Friday, March 19. Every grammar school parent is asked to sign up for a conference with their child's teacher during this scheduled time. Conference sign-ups are available in the school office. Please stop by to schedule your conference.

Silverwood's Reading is the Ticket - Tally Sheets Due Wed., Mar. 31

Silverwood's Reading is the Ticket program is available once again for students in kindergarten through 6th grades. Program information was sent home with students and is available below for your convenience. Please turn in the completed tally sheet to your child's teacher no later than Wednesday, March 31.

Families of 10th and 11th grade students can explore colleges in the comfort of their own home through several upcoming virtual college events. Please see the attached for dates and links.

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Wed., Thurs., Fri. - Mar. 17-19

Logic & Rhetoric School Parent/Teacher conferences will be held Wednesday evening, Thursday day & evening, and Friday day. Parents who would like to meet with one or more of their child's teachers are asked to sign up during this scheduled time. We ask that parents please sign up to meet with no more than 3 of their child's teachers, if possible, to allow plenty of time for all parents to have the opportunity to meet with teachers. Conference sign-ups are available in the school office. Please stop by to schedule your conference.

Protocol 2021 - An Evening of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty - Sat., Apr., 17
*Balance Due Fri., Mar. 26

All 9th through 12th grade students will be receiving etiquette training during the school day in preparation for this year's protocol event on Saturday, April 17th. The event will include a viewing of the Broadway hit musical, Hamilton, a guest speaker, and a semi-formal dinner at the stunning Belles on the Bluff venue. The balance of $50 is due to the school office by Friday, March 26 (if not already paid). The letter below contains further details about this event.

Protocol attire this year will be business formal. Gentlemen should wear suit coats. Ladies may wear skirts, dresses, or dress slacks. Skirts and dresses should fall at or below the knee and all ladies' blouses/tops should have a sleeve and not be cut too low. Attire for both gentlemen and ladies should not be too form fitting. Shoes should meet the formal uniform shoe requirements (please see the uniform policy if needed).
