The Oaks Coffee Bar Will Be Open Fri., June 4 - 7:30–8:20am

Exciting news! The Oaks Coffee Bar will be open Friday morning, June 4th from 7:30 until 8:20! Come enjoy coffee and a breakfast pastry at the entry of the multi-purpose building.

Conservatory Recital - Tues., June 8 at 3:30pm

The Oaks Conservatory students will be celebrating the completion of the year with a recital on Tuesday, June 8th at 3:30pm in the gym. Please join us for a grand performance!

Senior Assembly - Thurs., June 10 at 10am

All are welcome to attend The Oaks' Senior Assembly on Thursday, June 10th at 10am as the Class of 2021 encourages the student body at this annual event.

Awards Program - Fri., June 11

The Oaks' annual awards program will be held in the sanctuary on Friday, June 11th. Grammar school awards will begin at 8:30am, followed by an all school year-end assembly at 9:15am, and concluding with the secondary school awards beginning at 10:15am. Students will wear formal uniforms for this day. Parents are always encouraged and welcomed to attend.

All are invited to attend The Oaks' Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, June 12th at 1:00pm in The Oaks Gymnasium. 

Family Zoom Meeting - Mon., June 14 at 7pm

Plan to join The Oaks' Head of School, Charlie Dowers, for a family zoom meeting Monday, June 14th at 7pm as he discusses staffing for next year, the status of the Campus Vision Project, and several other items. The zoom link and an agenda will be sent to school families via Jupiter prior to the meeting.

Lands' End Try-Before-You-Buy Event - June 14–18

The last week of school, Lands' End, will be providing uniform samples for families to try on and find the best sizing. Stop by the gym anytime to see what is available.

Upcoming Financial Aid Meeting - Tues., June 15 at 4:45pm

If you are interested in receiving financial aid for the 2021-22 school year, Mr. Dowers will be hosting one more informational meeting regarding The Oaks' tuition assistance program on Tuesday, June 15 from 4:45–5:15pm. Attendance at a Financial Aid Meeting is required in order to apply for financial aid in the 2021-22 school year. Please RSVP to the school office so that we can plan accordingly.

The Oaks 25th Anniversary Celebration!

The Oaks is celebrating 25 years as a school, and the festivities have begun!

Daily Trivia Contest - Every day leading up to the last day of school and the grand celebration, Oaks trivia questions are being posted on the game board located in the MP foyer. Students may submit one entry per day (sorry parents!) for the chance to win a prize. The day's winner is announced to the classes and prizes delivered by Mr. Dowers himself! Many students are partaking in the fun and a few have won! Ask your kids about today's trivia questions.

The Oaks 25th Anniversary Grand Celebration - Plan to join us on Friday, June 18 for the Grand Celebration, as we conclude our 25th year as a school! The celebration begins at 11:30am on the field. Lunch will be provided, with a program and activities to follow. Please RSVP to the school office by Friday, June 11. All are welcome to join in the festivities!

Used Uniform Sale - Fri., June 18 from 10–11:30am

The annual used uniform sale will be held in The Oaks' gym on Friday, June 18 from 10:00 to 11:30 am.

  • Volunteers are needed in two shifts (9:00–10:30am & 10:30am–12:00pm). If you would like to volunteer please contact Helen True.
  • If you would like to buy or sell items in this sale please reference the following guidelines:
    • Suggested selling price for good-conditioned uniform items is half price (Items may also be donated)
    • All items must be the brands listed on the uniform lists (discontinued items may not be sold)
    • Seller should put items in a plastic zip-lock bag along with an informational index card (seller's name, clothing type & size, and item price)
    • Seller is responsible for placing bagged items into the appropriate box prior to the sale (volunteers will be available to help)
    • Donated items may be put into the appropriate bin in the "Free" section (no bag or informational card necessary)
    • Buyers are responsible for ensuring that the item being purchased is a uniform item for the upcoming year (current lists will be posted)
    • Buyer removes uniform item and places payment in the bag with the informational card, leaving in appropriate box
    • Seller collects proceeds and any unsold items at the end of the sale (any items that are left will be donated to the used uniform closet)

Music on the Field

The Oaks is excited to welcome you and your family to join us for several evenings of fellowship and music this summer at The Oaks' Music on the Field. Bring a picnic dinner, dessert to share with friends, drinks, and lawn chairs or blankets and come enjoy the beautiful weather, music, and friends. We look forward to seeing you there!

Latin Boot Camp - Aug. 23–25, 9am to 1pm

Latin Magistri, Mr. Eric Indgjerd and Mr. Ross Tasche, will prepare incoming new students and their parents for Latin at The Oaks at this summer's Latin Boot Camp. The camp will run Monday through Wednesday, August 23rd through 25th from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The cost is $50 per student or $100 per family. Mark your calendars! The Oaks is excited to host this year's Logic & Rhetoric School Spring Ball, exemplifying truth, goodness, and beauty. The ball will be held on The Oaks' field Saturday, June 5 from 6:00–9:00pm. Gentlemen: dress slacks (no cargo, patch pockets, or dress jeans); dress shirt; tie (bowtie or necktie); and dress shoes. Jackets are required for 9–12th grade and preferred for 7-8th.

Ladies: tea length or longer; with cap sleeves, wide straps, or sleeves; and dance shoes. Please be mindful of the rigorous nature of the dances, thus necessitating longer skirt lengths and higher necklines; modesty enhances beauty.

Shoes: The dance will be held outdoors on the school field this year, so please consider the dance surface when deciding upon dance/dress shoes.

All Oaks Juniors and their parents should plan to attend the upcoming Junior Student/Parent Meeting on Monday, June 7 at 6:30pm in CE#3. This meeting is designed to help prepare students and parents for the senior year next fall.  

Senior Finals - Students Leaving Campus Protocols
Tues.–Thurs., June 8–10

During the senior finals, on Tuesday, June 8th through Thursday, June 10th seniors with more than a 90 minute break between tests may leave campus during that time. Any students planning to leave campus must turn a parent permission note into the school office no later than 3pm Friday, June 4th. Students will need to sign out of the office as they leave and sign in upon their return. Students will not be allowed to make phone calls to receive permission the day of, so please plan ahead. Please note, that all seniors will have a regular school day on Monday, June 7th.
