All School Photo - Fri., Jan. 29 - Formal Uniforms
The all school photo is scheduled for Friday, January 29th. All students are required to wear their formal uniform and will need to wear a mask (except when the actual picture is taken).
Embroidery Option for Uniform Items - Due by Fri., Jan. 29
If you have uniform (or other) items that you would like embroidered with The Oaks logo, we would like to extend an invitation to include them in our upcoming embroidery order at a price of $5 per item, plus tax. Please label & bring any items you would like embroidered to the school office by Friday, January 29, at 3pm.
Reminder: The Oaks embroidered logo is required on the 2021-22 formal uniform and 2022-23 optional uniform items.
Kindergarten Priority Registration Due Jan. 29
Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year is now open for current school families. Families with an upcoming kindergartner may turn in a completed Current Family New Student Application by Friday, January 29 for priority registration. Kindergarten enrollment for new families will open February 1.
Lost & Found - Wed., Feb. 3
Lost & found items will be set out in the MP foyer on Wednesday. Please stop by to see if anything belongs to your family. All unclaimed items, except uniforms will be donated at the end of the day. Thank you to all who come by the office to find missing belongings prior to them being placed out. We appreciate your help in keeping our lost & found pile low.
ACH Forms Due - Fri., Feb. 5
Any family who is not already paying tuition via automatic withdrawal, must complete and turn in the ACH paperwork no later than Friday, February 5th. This will not affect current tuition payments, but will set you up to automatically pay your 2021-22 registration fee of $250 per student on March 5th as well as your 2021-22 tuition beginning in July.
Early Dismissal Fri., Feb. 5 at 12:30pm
Cantabile at 12:15pm
As the 1st semester of the 2020-21 school year concludes, students will be dismissed early on Friday, February 5 at 12:30pm. Our regular all school Cantabile will be held in the gym from 12:15-12:30pm.
2021-22 Uniform Options Available Mon., Feb. 8
As we begin the 2nd semester, Monday, February 8, students may begin wearing the new plaid uniform items which are officially part of the 2021-22 school uniform. Families are now able to order these items through The Oaks' Lands' End website.
Open House - Tues., Feb. 23, 9-11am - RSVP only
Thank you to all who invited guests to our 1st open house! The 2nd open house of the season is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23 from 9-11am and a 3rd on Tuesday, March 23. Please invite interested family and friends to attend. RSVP to Admissions Officer, Anya Schnell, at 509-536-5955 or anya.schnell@theoakscca.org. Private tours are also available.
Re-enrollment Changes for '21-22 School Year
Re-enrollment for the 2021-22 school year will be changing. Please see the attached letter and frequently asked questions for details. This information was emailed home separately and hard copies were sent home with students.

Grammar School
Proverbs Ceremony - Fri., Feb. 5, 8:30am
The Grammar School Proverbs Ceremony, recognizing those students who have memorized chapters in Proverbs, will be held in the sanctuary on Friday, February 5, beginning at 8:30am. Parents are welcome to attend. Our current guidelines of wearing a mask and/or social distancing will be in place for this event.
Kindergarten Schedule for Early Dismissal on Fri., Feb. 5
With the early dismissal of 12:30pm on Friday, February 5th, the kindergarten class schedule will be adjusted to give class time to both the morning and afternoon classes. The AM kindergarten class will attend from 8:30-10:20am and the PM kindergarten class will attend from 10:20am-12:15pm. The PM kindergarten and enhancement students will participate in Cantabile with the rest of the school from 12:15-12:30pm. Students will have a snack during the school day, but will not have lunch. Please contact Mrs. Kind with any questions.
Logic & Rhetoric Schools
Finals Week - Rhetoric Students Leaving Campus Protocols - Feb. 2-5
During finals week, on Wednesday, February 3rd & Thursday, February 4th Rhetoric students (10th-12th grades) with more than a 90 minute break between tests may leave campus during that time. Any students planning to leave campus must turn a parent permission note into the school office no later than 3pm Monday, February 1st. Students will need to sign out of the office as they leave and sign in upon their return. Students will not be allowed to make phone calls to receive permission the day of, so please plan ahead.
1st Semester Rhetoric School Finals Schedule
Semester End Celebration - Fri., Feb. 5
On Friday, February 5, the Logic & Rhetoric Schools (7th-12th grades) will celebrate the end of the semester with a pizza lunch beginning at 11:30am in the gym. Pizza will be provided for all Logic & Rhetoric students and staff. Following the pizza lunch will be an all school Cantabile from 12:15-12:30pm and an early dismissal at 12:30pm.

SAT School Day - Wed., Mar. 3
*Registration Deadline is Fri., Feb. 12
Beginning this year, The Oaks will offer annually the official CollegeBoard SAT test, held midweek at our school for all juniors, and for seniors who still need to take the SAT test as a graduation requirement. See the flyer below for details and to register. Deadline to register is Fri., Feb. 12.

Protocol 2021 - An Evening of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty
Event - Sat., Apr., 17; Deposit Due Fri., Feb. 26
All 9th through 12th grade students are invited to attend this year's protocol event on Saturday, April 17. This event will include a viewing of the Broadway hit musical, Hamilton, a guest speaker, and a semi-formal dinner at the stunning Belles on the Bluff venue. A $50 deposit will be due by Friday, February 26. Please see the attached letter and deposit form for further details. A hard copy will be sent home with the 9th-12th grade students.
