Cognitive Training Presentation - Thurs., Jan. 9
Mr. Jason Farley, Secondary Teacher, will be giving a presentation on Cognitive Training after school January 9th. Cognitive training is a plan to exercise and strengthen the executive functions of the mind. The working memory, long term memory, processing speed, information input, logic and reasoning skills, concentration, and attention span, which make up the executive functions of the mind, are the foundation of all we do with our mind. Imbalance in the strengths of our executive functions can be the root cause of a host of difficulties in our lives and can severely entangle the learning process. Often diagnosed as ADD, ADHD, or learning disabilities, executive function imbalance can be treated effectively with cognitive training. By putting pressure on the executive function through cognitive exercises that isolate the executive functions, they can be strengthened into reliability. For more information, visit inwbraintraining.com and come to the presentation.
