School Pictures Sent Home
School pictures have arrived and will be sent home with your child on Friday if you ordered them.
Oaks Family Night - Fri., Dec. 13
Bring the whole family to cheer on our Oaks basketball teams, enjoy dinner, and visit with other Oaks families on Friday, December 13. For $5 per person (family maximum - $20) you will receive dinner (hamburgers, chips, water, treat) and admission to all the games. There are half-time activities planned for each game. If you would like to help with set-up and/or serving please contact Mr. Trotter at 509-536-5955. GO OAKS!!!
Dinner will be served from 4pm - 6pm

Christmas Concert at The Fox - Tues., Dec. 17
*Concert Details
We are looking forward to another wonderful concert at The Fox Theater on Tuesday. Please carefully review the concert information letter for student arrival times, uniform information, etc. A hard copy will be sent home with your child on Friday.
*Rehearsal Details
During the school day on Tuesday, December 17 the entire student body will be rehearsing for the evening's concert at The Fox Theater. Please carefully read the rehearsal information letter for drop off and pick up details.
Christmas Concert Rehearsal Information
*Invite Guests
Please help share the Christmas concert with others by inviting your friends and family to this once a year free gift to the greater Spokane area. Posters and postcard invitations are available in the school office. We will be streaming the concert on The Oaks Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
*Alumni Parent Dinner
Parents of Alum from the classes of 2003-2013 are invited to attend an Alumni Parent Dinner prior to the Christmas concert at the Montvale Event Center (across the street from The Fox Theater). Dinner will begin at 5pm and will conclude in time to attend the concert at 7pm.
*Live Streaming
We will be live streaming the Christmas concert again this year via Facebook. Share The Oaks facebook page with your friends and family who are unable to attend. For those viewing on a mobile device the Facebook app is required (no app needed on a computer).
Lost and Found - Wed., Dec. 18
Lost and found items will be on the table in the MP foyer on Wednesday. Please stop by and see if anything belongs to your family. All unclaimed items, except uniforms, will be donated at the end of the day.
Christmas Festivities - Fri., Dec. 20
- All School Christmas Feast - 11:30am
On Friday, December 20 the entire school will enjoy a Christmas Feast to celebrate together. Parents are welcome to join in the festivities. Order pizza in the morning or bring your own lunch and join us in the gym at 11:30am. There will be Bingo, recitations and the announcing of the Ugly Sweater and Christmas Sock Contest winners.
- Christmas Cantabile - 12:30pm
Plan to join us for a special half-hour long Christmas Cantabile before the Christmas break.
- Early Release - 1pm
School will conclude at 1:00pm on Friday, December 20 to begin your Christmas Break.
Year End Giving
We are praying for gifts totaling $100,000 for the 2019 Year End Giving. Several generous donors are matching gifts made, up to $50,000. If you would like to help reach this goal please do so at the link below.

Crazy Sock Day - Fri., Dec. 13 (9th-12th grades)
On Friday, December 13 high school students (9th-12th grades) are invited to wear their favorite crazy socks to school. Wear Christmas socks and you'll be eligible to win one of three prizes (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in the Best Christmas Sock Contest. Teachers will judge the contest and winners will be announced at the All School Christmas Feast on Friday, December 20.
Teachers' Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest - Thurs., Dec. 19
On Thursday, December 19th secondary teachers will be wearing their ugly Christmas sweaters to school for the Teachers' Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Students will vote for their favorite ugly Christmas sweater and the winners will be announced at the All School Christmas Feast on Friday, December 20.
High School Protocol - Sat., Feb. 29 - Deposit Due Jan. 10
The High School Protocol Date has been set for Saturday, February 29th! We are excited to announce that this year's event will include a 3-course meal at the Spokane Club followed by the Symphony's Masterworks 7: Appalachian Spring with guest artist and principal clarinetist Stephen Williamson. First deposit letters will be sent home with 9th-12th grade students on Friday. Deposits are due Friday, January 10. Please contact Miss Stacey Miller if you have questions.

If your child received an "I" (incomplete) on their first quarter report card in any subject the final grade will be available on Jupiter once it has been completed. Please contact the school office if you need assistance in viewing these grades.
