Uniform Information & Updates

  • LANDS' END UNIFORM SALE - through Aug. 27
Lands' End is running a promotion of 20% off school uniforms. Use the code "BINDER" with pin "5823" between now and August 27 to take advantage of this sale. Please visit the Lands' End website for more information and be sure to use the school code (900069105). Mrs. Laurie Gardner, in the school office, will be handling uniform questions, so please feel free to contact her if you need any assistance.
  • PICTORIAL HANDBOOK NOW AVAILABLE
The updated Uniform Pictorial Handbook is now posted on the Uniform page. Please reference this handbook and the policy as you are purchasing uniform items for the upcoming school year.
  • VEST ORDER UPDATE
The long-lost formal vests just arrived from the manufacturer! After these return from being embroidered with the school logo, they will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis in the school office. A good quantity and variety of sizes will be available for you to try on and buy well in advance of the first day of school. Be sure to keep watch for more specifics to come!
  • LANDS' END LOW STOCK & BACK ORDERS
We are aware that several of our formal uniform pieces through Lands' End are currently showing that they are either low in stock or back ordered. Lands' End is prioritizing many items which are a part of our uniform selection during this peak ordering season. All of their items will continue to be re-stocked. You are encouraged to go ahead and purchase items that you need for your child even if it is temporarily on backorder so that it can be sent to you as soon as it becomes available. Any dates listed are reliable, and items will ship to you on or before the posted date. Please note, that The Oaks will be making any adjustments necessary for formal uniforms on the first day of school as needed. More information will be coming out soon.
  • Rhetoric School Families: Please see the note below (in Logic & Rhetoric section) regarding ties for 10th–12th grade girls.

Tuition Payments/Automatic Bank Withdrawal

Tuition payments are automatically withdrawn on the 5th of each month (not thru Jupiter). If you need to update your bank account information for tuition payments please complete the "Automatic Bank Withdrawal Form" under the "Forms" tab within Jupiter. As you have committed to paying monthly for the entire year, you will see tuition marked as paid in full in Jupiter even though your payment will be made monthly.

As projected enrollment impacts decisions regarding expenses for the 2021-22 school year, please understand that summer tuition payments, enrollment fees, and resource fees are not refundable or transferable. There are families in the wait pool and we want to be able to let them know immediately if any openings become available, so if your enrollment plans change please contact the school office.

Paying Additional Fees through Jupiter

To make a payment through Jupiter:

  • Log into your parent account and select "Pay" from the menu to view your current invoice.
  • Change the year (at the top of the screen) to match the year in which the fee was added if needed. For example, summer camp fees are in the year "2021 Summer" and Yearbooks are in year "2020-21."
  • Click the "Pay" button, select your payment method (checking/savings or credit card) and amount.
  • When setting up a Checking/Savings Account payment there will be two small deposits made to the bank account and an email request to validate these deposits (this will take a couple of days), but is a one-time process. Future payments may be made without validating the bank account.

Payments may be made for any fees, other than tuition. Jupiter does charge a small convenience fee.

Please contact the school office if you have questions.

High School Volunteer Opportunity

The Oaks office is looking for some high school students who would like to volunteer a few hours of their time over the next couple of weeks to help with various office projects. This is a great opportunity to acquire some office skills, work in a fun environment, and serve your community. If you or your child are interested please contact the school office.

Ties Optional for Rhetoric School Girls

The updated uniform policy included ties as a part of the required formal uniform for Rhetoric girls. These ties will be an optional item for girls in 10th-12th grades to wear with their blazers, but not required (and will not be worn for formal uniform events). The policy will be updated soon to reflect this change. In the meantime, any families who purchased a tie for this purpose and would like to return it may contact Mr. Trotter for assistance.

2021-22 Literature Lists

Literature lists for the upcoming school year are available on the Supply Lists page. These links will bring you to an Amazon Wish List with all the books needed. Please read the notes associated with each book carefully to ensure you are purchasing the correct items.
*Update: It has come to our attention--for reasons we cannot explain nor understand--the literature lists assembled on Amazon were merged with old, outdated lists. We have corrected the error and are doing what we can to prevent it in the future, but please check the pdfs on the Supply Lists page to ensure you have, or are, purchasing the correct books.

The Search Podcast for College Admissions Information

Produced by Dartmouth University, The Search podcast is a conversation about college admissions, sometimes drawing on Dartmouth's community as guests, but it's decidedly not about getting into Dartmouth. This project is a discussion, blast of advice, and reflection drawn from the Dean's resources at Dartmouth as well as colleagues from other colleges. Topics include navigating the college admissions process, finding a college that is a "financial fit," and what happens to your application after you hit the "submit" button.
