High School Volunteer Opportunity

Thank you to the wonderful high school students who came in and volunteered in the office this past week! We are so appreciative of your help! If any other high school students would like to volunteer a few hours of their time over the next couple of weeks to help with various office projects we would gladly accept it. This is a great opportunity to acquire some office skills, work in a fun environment, and serve your community. If you or your child are interested, please contact the school office.

Logic & Rhetoric School Open House – Thurs., Sept. 16 from 7 to 8pm

The Logic & Rhetoric School staff will be hosting an open house on Thursday, September 16 from 7:00 to 8:00pm in The Oaks gymnasium. Families will have the opportunity to meet with teachers, gather information pertinent to the upcoming school year, and sign up for volunteer opportunities. This will replace the Logic & Rhetoric School's Back to School Night that has been done in the past.

Supply Drop-off & Locker Set-up – Mon. Sept. 20

New this year, all Logic & Rhetoric school students will bring school supplies to the first day of school and will be given the opportunity to set-up lockers in the morning, during school hours. There will not be an opportunity to set-up lockers the week prior to school starting.

Ties Optional for Rhetoric School Girls

The updated uniform policy included ties as a part of the required formal uniform for Rhetoric girls. These ties will be an optional item for girls in 10th-12th grades to wear with their blazers, but not required (and will not be worn for formal uniform events). The policy has been updated and any families who purchased a tie for this purpose and would like to return it may contact Mr. Trotter for assistance.

2021-22 Literature Lists

Literature lists for the upcoming school year are available on the Supply Lists page. These links will bring you to an Amazon Wish List with all the books needed. Please read the notes associated with each book carefully to ensure you are purchasing the correct items.
*Update: It has come to our attention--for reasons we cannot explain nor understand--the literature lists assembled on Amazon were merged with old, outdated lists. We have corrected the error and are doing what we can to prevent it in the future, but please check the pdfs on the Supply Lists page to ensure you have, or are, purchasing the correct books.

The Search Podcast for College Admissions Information

Produced by Dartmouth University, The Search podcast is a conversation about college admissions, sometimes drawing on Dartmouth's community as guests, but it's decidedly not about getting into Dartmouth. This project is a discussion, blast of advice, and reflection drawn from the Dean's resources at Dartmouth as well as colleagues from other colleges. Topics include navigating the college admissions process, finding a college that is a "financial fit," and what happens to your application after you hit the "submit" button.
