On February 5th The Oaks Board hosted the Annual Family Business Meeting. Parents were reminded of The Oaks mission and goals followed by a discussion about looking ahead. Information was shared about investment opportunities, facilities needs and future plans, as well as The Oaks’ five year plan. Please take a few minutes to review the meeting minutes here.

All School Senior Thesis Presentation - April 5th at 1:35 pm

The Seniors have each been presenting their theses this week and are almost done. On Friday at 1:35pm senior, Grace Cvancara will present and defend her thesis statement in front of the entire school body and any guests who would like to attend. We hope that you will plan to join us in the sanctuary to see the final senior thesis of the school year and congratulate the class of 2019 on a job well done.

Upcoming Financial Aid Meeting - April 10th - Please RSVP

If you are interested in receiving financial aid for the 2019-20 school year, Mr. Dowers will be hosting an informational meeting regarding The Oaks' tuition assistance program on Wednesday, April 10th from 7:00-7:45 pm in MP#11. A second meeting will be scheduled soon. Attendance at one of these two meetings is required in order to apply for financial aid in the 2019-20 school year. Please RSVP to the school office so that we can plan accordingly.

Friday Pizza Lunch Meal Option

Beginning this Friday, April 5th, there will be a meal option with pizza hot lunch. The meal option includes chips, applesauce and a granola bar for $2. Five meal punch cards are available for $10. Pizza prices will remain the same at $1.25 per slice. 

Civil War Re-enactment (6th-12th grades) - Friday, May 24th

This year's Civil War Re-enactment is scheduled for Friday, May 24th. Many hands are needed to pull of this once a year event. If you are willing and able to lend a hand please fill out the attached volunteer form and return it to the school office by Friday, April 12th.

Cinderella Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets for The Oaks' Spring Musical, Cinderella, are now on sale. This year's show will be presented May 16-18 at University High School. To purchase your tickets click on the link on our homepage.

Enrollment for New Families is Now Open

If you know someone interested in The Oaks and classical Christian education please let them know that enrollment for the 2019-20 school year is now open. They can call the school office to set up an Initial Visit and learn more about The Oaks.

In an attempt to simplify the process of collecting fees, this year we are combining the individual fees associated with our school day events, History Emphasis and Civil War Reenactment, into a one-time event fee of $20. Parents and students in 9th - 11th grades are invited to join Mrs. Gibson, Director of College and Career Counseling, as she provides an overview of the college preparation, search, and application process, and the services she offers families as they prepare for their child's future. Juniors may use a $300 voucher toward airfare and lodging to visit Grove City College during its "Junior Crimson Day," Saturday April 27. Students from The Oaks (and other Classical Schools from around the country) will enjoy a day of activities, faculty presentations, campus tours, and student panels to introduce them to this outstanding Christian college in Grove City, PA. Juniors received a voucher from Mrs. Gibson last month; more are available in her office. To register, click here.
