On February 5th The Oaks Board hosted the Annual Family Business Meeting. Parents were reminded of The Oaks mission and goals followed by a discussion about looking ahead. Information was shared about investment opportunities, facilities needs and future plans, as well as The Oaks’ five year plan. Please take a few minutes to review the meeting minutes here.

Report Cards and ERB Results

Third quarter report cards and ERB test results (grades 3-10) were sent home with your child on Wednesday, April 24th. 

Upcoming Financial Aid Meetings - April 30th or May 2nd - Please RSVP

If you are interested in receiving financial aid for the 2019-20 school year, Mr. Dowers will be hosting two more informational meetings regarding The Oaks' tuition assistance program on Tuesday, April 30th from 7:00-7:45 pm and Thursday, May 2nd from 8:00-8:45 am. Attendance at one of the financial aid meetings is required in order to apply for financial aid in the 2019-20 school year. Please RSVP to the school office so that we can plan accordingly.

Lost and Found - Wednesday, May 1st

Lost and found items will be on the table in the MP foyer on Wednesday, May 1st. Please stop by and see if anything belongs to your family. All unclaimed items, except uniforms, will be donated at the end of the day.

Civil War Re-enactment - Friday, May 24th

This year's Civil War Re-enactment (grades 6-12) is scheduled for Friday, May 24th. We are still seeking volunteers. If you are willing and able to lend a hand please contact Mr. Stepper.

Tickets for The Oaks' Spring Musical, Cinderella, are now on sale. To purchase your tickets click on the link on our homepage. Tickets will also be sold in the foyer of the MP building every Friday after school and at the Spring Ball on Friday, April 26th.

Promotional posters are available. Please stop by the school office and pick up a few to post in local businesses and public places. Please take only the amount you plan to post.

Friday Pizza Lunch Snack Option

Pizza lunch now includes a snack option! This is a separate purchase from the pizza slices.  The snack option includes chips, applesauce and a granola bar for an additional $2. Pizza slices remain the same at $1.25 per slice.

We are excited to welcome guest speakers from Moody Aviation and Dr. and Mrs. Palpant who will all be sharing about their missionary work across the globe. Presentations will be at 8 am, 9:50 am, and 1:05 pm in the sanctuary. Students may wear travel attire for the day and should bring a sweatshirt for the outdoor activities. Please refer to your child's classroom letter for specifics.

There will be 60+ colleges and universities from all over the US ready for you to visit with them. Please see the attached flyer.

Science Fair - Thursday, May 23rd, 7pm

  • Are photographic images which use the rule of thirds in their composition more appealing to grammar school kids than pictures whose arrangement neglects to use this in its composition?
  • Which Taekwondo kick packs the mast force?
  • Are older horses better able to remember which bucket a treat is placed in than younger horses?
  • Do cookies made using a flour with a higher protein content spread less than cookies with a lower protein content?
  • Are natural alternatives to mouthwash as effective in removing unwanted oral bacteria?

These are just a sample of the various topics that will be presented by our 9th graders at The Oaks annual Science Fair. All families of students K-12 are welcome and encouraged to attend May 23, 7:00 pm. Mark your calendars!
