Spring Concert - Tues., May 6 [6:30pm]
"We will not hide them from their children,
Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done"
–Psalm 78:4
Please plan to attend the spring concert on Tuesday, May 6. We will hear lovely instrumental music from our secondary ensembles and hear songs from the JrK–12th grade choirs focused on Old Testament stories and Scripture. The spring concert is an opportunity for students to present with beauty and grace what they have been learning and working diligently on. This is considered foundational to our music education, so all students are expected to participate in the concert. You are encouraged to invite family and friends to this performance which will be held in The Oaks' Gym beginning at 6:30pm. This concert will be live streamed through The Oaks Facebook page.
Student Performer Details:
- Arrival times:
6pm for Logic & Rhetoric School students (7–12th grades)
6:15pm for Grammar School students (JrK–6th grades) - Formal uniform required
- Reminders:
* Flesh-toned nylons or no-shows for 7–12th choir ladies, black tights for orchestra ladies.
* Hair accessories should be petite in nature & match uniform colors.

Classic Learning Test (CLT)
Students in 3rd through 8th grades took the Classic Learning Test (CLT) as the yearly standardized testing on Wednesday and Thursday, April 23 and 24. This assessment took place in the classroom these mornings. Further information about this test is available on the CLT website. Results will be shared with parents when available. Because these were taken during class time there will be no makeups given to anyone who missed.
A Picture of Beauty
Recently we took this year's all school photo and it was a delight to see how beautiful all the students looked in their uniforms and what a lovely photo was created with everyone together. As we move toward the end of the school year, we wanted to remind everyone to please continue wearing the uniform as it is designed to be worn. With this in mind, ladies, please do not roll the waist of your skirts. If a new size would be helpful, please check with the school office. We have various new and used uniform items available. Our desire is for students to be comfortable in their uniforms and for the uniforms to fit properly. On a final note, gentlemen, on formal days, sleeves should not be folded up and shirts should remain tucked in every day. Always seeking truth, goodness, and beauty. Thank you!
Kleenex Drive
The beauty of blooms in Spring is a great joy, but along with those blooms often come many runny noses and it appears the Kleenex supply at the school has diminished to almost nothing. As such, if you held off on bringing in Kleenex at the beginning of the year, now would be a lovely time to bring them in. And if you already provided Kleenex, but would be happy to provide a little more, there are many students' noses that would greatly benefit and teachers who would be so appreciative. Any donations can be brought in to your child's homeroom teacher and the teacher will take care of getting them to the shared storage location. Thank you!
Ladies' Tea Photos Now Available on Jupiter
The Ladies' tea was a lovely morning, enjoyed by all, and we are so thankful to have some beautiful photographs of the event. These photos are now available to Oaks parents via Jupiter. To view them, log into your Jupiter parent portal, select Materials, then School Office where the 2025 Ladies Tea Photos link is available. Feel free to download and print any pictures you would like.

*April Song of the Month
Last month the music department led us all in our first Song of the Month, God Moves in a Mysterious Way, helping us to better learn one of the less familiar songs in our new Songs of The Oaks books. This month we will be focusing on Mighty Lord, Extend Your Kingdom.

April Scripture Memorization
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints
