The Oaks Conservatory
Dance Program
The Conservatory Dance program is well underway in its second semester this year, and dancers are growing in grace and poise, as well as strength, musicality, and stamina. Across the seven classes currently offered (3–70 yrs), the focus is on growing an appreciation for the joy and beauty in dance as a "love rightly ordered" and a pursuit to the glory of God. The vertical connection makes the dance program at The Oaks Conservatory unique among its kind and provides yet another way to glorify Christ, shape culture, and shine the light of God's truth in every endeavor of life. For more information, check out The Oaks Conservatory website or contact Mrs. Indgrid Lavoie, Dance Coordinator.
New Violin Instructor
The Oaks Conservatory is excited to announce the addition of Mrs. Lily Eads to the Instructing team. Mrs. Eads has loved the violin since she was 3 years old and has played for the Spokane Youth Symphony and Faith Bible Church's worship team. She has been instructing privately over the last 3 years and we are thankful that she is now joining The Oaks Conservatory. To read her full bio and sign up for lessons, please visit The Oaks Conservatory website. Welcome Mrs. Lily Eads!
Part-time Handyman Position Available
The Oaks is looking for a part-time handyman to support the daily care of our campus. This role is typically 3–4 hours per day, totaling approximately 15–20 hours per week, with some flexibility for the right fit. This is primarily a maintenance role, helping ensure that our classrooms and common spaces are orderly, functional, and well cared for. The work includes small repairs and practical support for teachers, such as adjusting desks, hanging pictures, replacing HVAC filters, addressing minor facility needs, occasional vacuuming, and spot-cleaning when needed. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative and quiet pride in doing things well, and contributes to The Oaks culture through their work. If you or someone you know may be a good fit, please reach out to our facilities manager, Mr. Colin Williams.
Official Coffee Shop & Library Openings Coming Soon!
Sign a Library Guidelines Disclaimer for each child to be ready to check out books
The official openings of The Oaks Coffee Shop & Library are just around the corner. The Oaks' brand new espresso machine has arrived and training is underway. The books are almost all cataloged and volunteer librarians are being arranged. Library Study Hours and library etiquette lessons began this week with the hope of checking out books prior to Spring Break.
In preparation, any student planning to check out books must have the Library Guidelines Disclaimer, available in Annasis, signed by a parent. By signing this disclaimer, an account will be created for that child and he will be ready to check out books when the library is officially open. Please also read the Library Guidelines that will be available in the Family Handbook in the near future. What a blessing to be able to officially open these spaces soon and use them as they were designed.

Spring Cleaning – Uniform Refresh
As spring approaches and students start swapping their cold weather items for warmer weather clothes, it's a great time to check your child's uniform to ensure it is fitting properly and in good condition. If you notice pants or skirts are getting short or sleeves are a little too high on the arm, remember you can use the Uniform Swap on Annasis to sell those too small items and shop for appropriately sized pieces. The office also maintains a used uniform closet where you are welcome to shop ($5 per item) or donate items. Just be sure to reference the Uniform Policy whenever selling, donating, or purchasing to ensure the items are current.
Ladies (6–12th) Formal Tights/Socks for Spring
As of April 1, ladies in 6–12th grades wear either flesh-toned no-show footies or flesh-toned nylons as a part of their formal uniform, as stated in the Uniform Policy.

April Scripture Memory
I will lift up my eyes to the hills–
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold. He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber not sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
– Psalm 121
